The beauty of taking a family  resort vacation to Florida’s Gulf Coast is how much fun you can pack into one weekend. Here is an itinerary that can help you plan your weekend without any stress. All you have to do is get your family and make some memories.

Day One: Tampa

Once your food has digested, you are ready to hit the waves. There are plenty of water options to suit your family’s taste. You can rent a pontoon boat, go fishing, jet skiing or kayaking. If you’d rather relax, there are plenty of lovely spots to lounge around.

There are lunch options all over Fort Myers. Since you started the day with childlike fun, consider treating your grown-up side for lunch. Bistro 41 has a fresh menu that always has something new to offer. Luxuriate in a long lunch with plenty of time to talk.

Take a post-meal detour to look at the Fort Myers Skatium offers all sorts of sporting options. Ice skating, basketball and indoor soccer are among the choices your family can enjoy. A little friendly competition is a wonderful end to the day.
