For ocean lovers, Bodega Bay is the place to be with beauty of crashing waves and delicious seafood. It is an area full of romance, adventure and relaxation with breathtaking sunsets at the end of each day. Not only do you get to dine on succulent fish but you get it fresh and all the more yummier. If merely lying on the beach or lazing on a beach chair isn’t your thing, you can be more adventurous and have a frolicsome time with your family.

Go for a Bicycle Ride

Bodega Head has large bicycle lanes and ends in the Bodega State Park. They are restaurants nearby in case you end up with a monster appetite after all that exercise. The Spud Point Crab Company too falls around there. So, you can even check out the whales as well as the vistas and take a hike if it is raining. You get beautiful kites in the many stores though it is good to take along a pair of binoculars as well as you can see the whales from the cliffs. Children especially favor the bike trip and you can teach your kids how to fly kites or have some quality time whale watching.

Bring on the Bread

Wild Flour Bread is as intriguing to the taste buds as its name is. You might be appalled at the crowds but it is worth the wait. You’ll see and taste treats like fig, almond and coconut paste scones with sugar topping. It’s nutritious too and should cuddle even the kids’ taste buds. However, some prefer only the bread. Like Dragon bread which is hot when served in a paper bag and contains jalapeno, cornmeal and garlic. There’s even Green Goat bread available and cinnamon, currant and walnut buns.

Chat in a Café

Try ordering stew at the Terrapin Creek Café and get a mix of fish and lovely broth along with a serving of crusty bread that is a meal in itself. Crab cakes too are a hot favorite along with duck. You can place it at the end of a day of sightseeing when family members can sit back and recount the highlights of the day.

Go Horseback Riding

When you are with family and friends, horseback riding is a great way of exploring the outdoors. Most tourists love the scenery as well as the Eagle View trail. The Chanslor Ranch is famous for its two-hour ride on the beach.

It’s an Inn thing

The Four Sisters is ranked among the best inns due to comfort levels and friendly staff. You get a different breakfast everyday with eggs, pancakes, fruit, muffins or toast; it’s a great place to lodge at. The best cookies of Sonoma reside at Sonoma Plaza, so if you have a sweet tooth, it’s worth a stop. While traveling it is difficult to find a place that everyone finds something to eat at especially children. With the meals having crunchy toast and pancakes, there’s no problem feeding the kids.
